I'm home today

and I'm bored.

Had my annual mammogram appt this morning. Nothing like having your boobs squeezed to pancake like shapes. This time she really hurt me, I still feel sore.

The appraiser for my co-op just left. I'm doing a re-fi since the interest rates have dropped a lot since I bout this place 10 years ago.

So now I have the rest of the day to do anything I want, and it is SO icky outside. I know the minute I decide to go to the garden center to buy plants for my garden, it is going to pour.
I'm not in the mood to go shopping.
My house is clean.

I hate being bored with myself.

Ohhhh I just emailed the Radiology place to make an appt for my Mammogram...i'm about 3 months past due. I usually go Feb. 1st so i remember every year, not sure what happened this time.

Do you read? Relax and read a book. That wouldn't work for me, I never read. i have a very short attention span so i'd sit and play bejeweled for hours instead.

I would just relax and veg out.

I rarely get a 'free' day off where I don't have much to do, so I would take advantage and just do nothing!

I hate being bored too, but sometimes you need to take a few hours and just do nothing. I hate wasting a day, and not doing anything, but you said you don't need to clean, you don't want to go shopping. Maybe you can catch up on some shows or rent some movies, or cook something?

Except for the boob squeezing.. It was nice to sleep in. However I have to go out soon with my mom and then go to have my Hair done.

What about laundry??? I know that's NOT what you want to do with a day off, but maybe you can do it while you veg on the couch with a book or movie??? I do my laundry usually at night, 1-2 loads at a time - I hate spending all day saturday doing it - so if I were home, it'll all be getting done.

Not sure if you have laundry in your co-op, though.
Or in your building?? I have to go into the basement to do mine, which is a PAIN, but better than having to go to the laundrymat, that's for sure.

I have a laundry room and I usually do it all on Sunday or Monday nights .
Great benefit to having a laundry room is that there are 3 washers and 3 dryers, so I can be done with the week's laundry in under two hours.

I think I'll take my chances and go to the garden center, and then make a manicure appointment for tomorrow. I'm home tomorrow too, after another doctor's appointment in the am.

What I should really do is go thru my proofs and select pictures for my album and enlargements. I haven't done that yet and I'm married a really long time.

I am planning on baking on Saturday. We were invited to my friends' house for a bbq since both DH and I lost our moms.
I am making a chocolate caramel tart.

Okay 1) you need to post the recipe for the tart, b/c I have been dying to make a tart lately.
2) I think going through your proofs is a GREAT idea.

I don't have a tart pan with a removable bottom, so I am going to use one of my springforms. It'll be a bit rustic.

Be back later. Going to the garden center, going to the supermarket to pick up a couple of things I need for the tart and for dinner tonight.

Then I'll do my proofs.
