I'm so dead....

I'm so dead....

DH and I went out last night and I left early, he asked me to take his wallet home cause he said it was uncomfortable in his pocket, he just kept some cash on him. Well, I still have it. I brought it to work with me. I have his license, his work ID, his metrocard so he can't even get on the train. I am dead meat. I keep trying to call his cell but he's not picking up (he's still sleeping, doesnt' have to be in until 10). Ugh, I knew this would happen. I don't think he has even 2 dollar bills left on him to buy himself a single ride card to get to work.

Anyway happen to be heading from Wall St to Astoria that wants to bring him his wallet for me....like now????

I know, I guess I could say he gave it to me, but also when he gave it to me he said, 'and when you get home put it right on the counter, don't leave it in your bag cause you'll forget to take it out before you leave'. And he's right, I always forget to do stuff like that.

He's still not answering his phone....oh well, there's really nothing I can do about it now I guess. I'll just deal with the aggravation when figures it out.

Hopefully we have some quarters lying around the house so he can scrounge up a one way ticket.

we have done this before too, and it does stink!!
he would be able to do without it for a day but his work ID was a must!! so i had to arrange to get it to him and leave work

So if he knew you forget to do stuff like that, he should have remembered it when you got home and said, 'Gimme my wallet.'

I completely agree, its not all your fault that you forgot to give him his wallet, if he knows you always forget you can argue also that he shouldve remembered to ask you. Dont blame yourself entirely for this one.

So funny you say that because I was on the phone with my girlfriend last night when I got home and she said the same thing. She's like, now you get to use the pregnant excuse for everything.

OH NO! I do that all the time with his ATM card. He gets to work and I have it here in my wallet. Good luck!

Anyway its not your fault he told you to take it home for him

So he finally got back to me, after his 10 am meeting, which he finagled somehow to call into from home. And I guess his day isn't that busy otherwise, so he'll just work from home today.

Whew, off the hook. Lesson learned though, from now on, he's got to carry his own wallet, I can't deal with the stress.

Oh yikes - not good but glad he could work from home!

On a side note - One time I left for NJ for a 1 day work trip , in a snowstorm, and forgot my pocketbook! I realized I forgot it when I was on the Verazzono and couldnt not turn around at that point! I was so late to my meeting and had to stop at a pay phone and try to call my office...however the bank doesnt aceept collect calls. Long story short - I made it there but had to borrow money for food and gas from total strangers at the new office that I went to. What a fool I looked like! Ughhh not fun!

omg, you poor thing but that's hysterical that you had to borrow money from people you didn't even know. Hey, at least they lent it to you.
