In Style Weddings going under

In Style Weddings going under

That's right.

On Gawker.com, they announced that the last issue of In Style Weddings will hit newsstands on Dec 25 and be up for 3 months. Then thats it.

OMGGGG So terrible!! That was my favorite Wedding Mag!

First Modern Bride.....then Elegant Bride....now this!!!!!

SO so sad....

But when you think about it, with so many amazing websites that are free, it's kind of bound to happen.

It's still so disapointing though!

When I was at 'Elegant Bride' 4 years ago they were talking about shutting down. It is a very scary world in publishing right now:(

Another mag I loved, Blueprint, went down too. I loved that one.

I feel like those magazines were such a staple for me while I was engaged...this really makes me sad for future brides...

SO sad! This was one of my faves as well. Ugh, it's such a shame with all these mags down the tubes.

I have to say though, althought websites are awesome, there is nothing like curling up on the couch with one of your fave magazines. I LOVE magazines, and I have since I was a kid. That's one of the reasons I miss commuting into NYC daily - I used to get great reading time, and Penn Station had the MOTHERLOAD of magazines! So although the websites are awesome it's just not the same!
