Inaugeration- Are you watching?

Original post by Kimbalina

I do not remember ever watching one in the past. I guess I never was a fan of George W. and maybe wasn't intrested when I was younger.

However I am excited to see the whole pomp and circumstance of the day. Luckily for me at work I have the ability to watch it. I even have the Today Show on now, so I can see whats going on.

I'm happy, I ended up being able to watch most of it. The office manager and his assistant took it upon themselves to find a way to pull up the video. We were all standing around her desk watching on her computer. He is a very good speaker.

Tell me about it. What a breath of fresh air to know we have a president who doesnt sound illiterate!

A guy in my office just said it's amazing what opposite ends of the spectrum they are as speakers. To be honest, I really didn't watch the debates, so I haven't really heard him speak at length. But, I can see why so many people are so taken by his speaking. It is refreshing.

I am so excited to get to watch! The only reason I am getting to is because in NC I have a snow day (not too much snow, but I am so relieved since the city has like 2 plows and no one can drive so the roads are scary). I was actually pretty upset that work wasn't setting up TVs for the inauguration, since they do it for the college basketball championships! However, since I'm home it doesn't matter!

2 plows!!! How much snow did you receive?

Probably 2-4 inches, depending where in town you are. This is a LOT of snow and they can't deal with it. About 7 years ago, DH was in undergrad down here and they got 2 feet of snow and everything was shut down for two weeks....they actually had classes on the weekends then because none of the professors could get to campus for 2 weeks.

I agree, I haven't watched any of the debates or anything about the election up until this point, and I thought it was a really, really great speech. It wasn't full of just 'fluff', it was decipherable, and it was full of everything I think the american people wanted to hear and then some.

I would not have missed this moment in history for anything. I was very moved by it all. and just to know how far our Country has come. GOD BLESS OUR PRESIDENT. AND GOD BLESS THE USA.
