Did anyone do theirs yet? Did anyone get hosed like I did? I swear, nothing changed for me and hubby, except getting married and we OWE federal this year. The first time either one of us has had to pay. I thought that being married was supposed to be a tax benefit, not a punishment.

Re: Income Taxes
Last year I got slammed and had to pay over $4,000 (while saving for a wedding) so I feel your pain.
I'm hoping to get good news on Friday when I get my taxes done.

Re: Income Taxes
We did ours with TurboTax, used them last year too and are getting back the most either one of us ever has. No house. no kids. But DH has been laid off for a few months so his income was a lot less than last year. DH also had to pay taxes on a loan he took in 07 on last years taxes. I am actually in shock and hoping it's correct! Even yesterday I posted on a thread saying I would be happy with a couple hundred bucks.

Re: Income Taxes
I did the taxes with an online service I've been using for years and I tried it married filing joint and married filing separate and either way it says we owe. I tried Turbo Tax this morning and it was the same thing. I mean, it's not even $1000, but still. the number went in the negative when I input my mandatory retirement fund in. Which is strange because I've always gotten a refund back on it when I was single.
