ink removal?

Does anyone know a good way to remove ink stains off a carpet?

hairspray and maybe rug cleaner, also google it.

A few years ago my dogs chewed an blue pen and the ink exploded ALL over our white couch. I tried to get the stain out as much as I could. Then we wet some towels and put hand warmers on top of it and left it on over night. It lifted the stain right out!

this is a long shot - but i use antibacterial gel to get it off my hands and it works WONDERS... not sure if that would work on a carpet - but i figured id throw it out there

I also use rubbing alchohol on my hands..and that works also..but I don't know how safe that would be to apply to a rug
