Inlaws

DH and I just got home from a surprise retirement/moving to Florida party for DHs aunt and uncle. I always hear so much about how much inlaws suck and feel so bad about the stories i hear. Im so blessed that not only do my inlaws and i get along, i really love them and feel like theyre family. They all are so sweet and caring. They will bend over backwards for you without you even asking. My sil went out and bought me new jeansvwhen i was really sicl and lost an unnecessary 20 lbs. It doesnt sound like a big deal, but i was really sick and really not happy with my weight because it waasnt healthy. I had literally no pants that fit me...i couldnt evem wear them without them a tually falling off. It was a small gesture that meant so much. Shes like my sister His aunt and uncle basically turned down a few hundred dollars that was offered for their bedroom set and gave it to us when she heard we were looking for a set. Its not just the immediate family...its a lot of cousins etc and i get the same energy from them as well.

Im not trying to brag or say my situation is 'better' than anyone elses, its just that after tonight i realize how blessed i am to have married into his family.

Idk his dads side too well (met for first time at the wedding), so maybe it wont be the same....but the other side that i do know is absolutely amazing. I just wish more women had a similar inlaw experience.
