IPOD Nike Accessory kit - NEED HELP!!

I have an IPOD, not a nano and got the Nike Sport Accessory Kit. It is not working, but the guy at the store said it would work with all IPODs. Does it have to be a nano to work on can it work with all?

The error I am getting is: Accessory not supported.

IM confused...it would make sense that it would work on all-but if that is the error then maybe not

Maybe call the place you bought it and ask

Yeah I have to call the store, but I am so annoyed that it isn't working. I don't want to have to buy a Nano to use this. This *****!
