Is anyone else dreading writing thank yous?

Is anyone else dreading writing thank yous?

I have thembut have some sort of mental block to writing them. Is it just me?

Yep.
Probably why I haven't ordered mine yet.
I know that DH will not help me write them because his handwriting is terrible, but I WILL make him sit with me and dictate what to write to his family. Why should I be the only one tortured ?

I am so with you! they have been sitting on my kitchen table for 2 weeks just waiting for me..... staring at me, taunting me....

I think I will try to tackle them this weekend.

I write mine-not so bad. Just do a few at a time. I got mine all out in one weekend cause Im anal like that. I was raised to believe as soon as you geta gift, you send a ty, so I wanted to send them out ASAP.

I'm actually excited to write them. I know that's really weird, but we had a lot of OOT people at our wedding that we hardly ever get to see, and I feel like even though we did spend a good amount of time with each person at the wedding, it was hardly enough time. I really want to tell them all how special they are to us and how much it meant that they were there, and how much I wish we could see them more often. I hope it actually helps start moving things in that direction. It's hard to be so far away from everyone!!

Still, it's going to take forever!!

Haven't ordered ours yet! But yes I am dreading it! Once we order them, which will be in a week or two, I have no choice but to get on them.

I have a 5 week break from school that I need to take advantage of! LOL

They sit on my table staring me in the face everyday. I just have no motivation to get started on them. Once I start, I'll be good to go.

I actually got through half last night and had such a major cramp in my hand.....Not looking forward to the other half....It is so dreadful...

Just when I thought that everything wedding-related was already over, here comes a new responsibility that I must make time for -- thank you cards.
No time for any of this!
I printed the envelopes already, but don't have teh cards. We're also working on teh video.

once i do get them back from the photographer , i will not be looking foward to writing them out..

its so hard for me to know what to write.. im gonna draw a blank...

is there any etiquette on what to write??

So far I've got 'thank you' ....beyond that I'm drawing a blank.......

hey have been on my coffee table for 15 days or so and i dont vene wanna open the box to start.
DH keeps pointing out to me that they are still there.
i thought the headaches were supposed to end when the wedding was over.. whoever said that lied.

I was dreading this also but you know it wasn't that bad. I had DH put address labels, return address labels & stamps on all the envelopes and I did the writing in the card. I basically wrote the same thing in everyone's, with slight variations. Some really close friends & family members got a longer thank you.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The hardest part is just getting them started. I finally wrote all of mine out last weekend but it took me a good month from receiving them to actually get them started! I did it all in one sitting and it took about 2 hours! My hand was cramping when I was finished and my brain was fried, but they were done! Now I just have to write out the addresses on the envelopes and they'll be good to go! Probably will tackle that on Sunday!

It really wasn't that bad. I did about 15-20 a night and got them done in a week or so. DH gave me the excuse that my handwriting is better so he didn't write out any of them LOL
