Is anyone else's office freezing cold?

I am not quite sure what to do about it but I cannot function another minute. The temperature is controlled by maintenance so I cant just turn it up and my corner is so icy - its unbearable. I have a thick sweater on and a space heater (which are banned here but I have one anyway).

Ughh i cannot live like this all winter here!

Our office was like that and we complained all the time and nothing was done... finally, one day when my boss came in and everyone was working in their winter coats, she called facilities and told them that if they didn't raise the temperature, she was letting all of her employees go home until the building was at least 73 degrees.

perhaps if you and your coworkers send an email to your boss or maintanance saying how unbearable the work conditions are something will be done about it. sometimes when a problem comes in numbers it gets fixed.

yeah mine is cold. Im in a tee shirt. Im dumb. It was hot as anything in here on friday though!

OMG hystercal about the winter coats! I feel like putting mine on sometimes. My problem is, not the whole office is freezing, but my area is. Plus its mostly men and none of them are that cold. Ugh

the next step for me was wearing gloves with the fingertips cut off...

if the space heater isn't working, there aren't many other options. Do you have a large or small one? one of the girls in my office had two, a small one under her desk to keep her legs warm and then another next to her chair
