we were given ours as a gift -- but it's something nice to have and keep after the wedding. it's sentimental. we have the Waterford Celebrations flutes with the double heart -- I think they are called Romance

That's what we used too! DH's parents gave them to us at our engagement party...

We used toasting flutes because we got them as an engagement gift. Ours were from Waterford. We used them on our first anniversary, but other than special occasions they stay in our china cabinet.

We had some, but forgot them in the hotel room. They were nice for the hm, but not required.

Same here. If you think you'll value them as keepsakes, consider them. For us, it was just going to be another expenditure and they'd end up gathering dust at home.

I didn't buy them. In fact, the limo driver pooped open a bottle of champagne and DH and had to drink out of plastic cups. It's a fun pic, one of our favorites. We made it into a 8X10n enlargement and it is the cover pic on our album.

my mom gave us flutes with our monograms engraved i dont think they're COMPLETELY necessary, we actually probably wouldn't have bought them had they not been a gift...but now i personally like the sentimental value of them(i'm a sap with everything though ) ...we just used them on for our anniversary they're special to me

We used two of the champagne glasses we had registered for, fidelity by Vera Wang.

We didn't see the need to spend the extra money. We just used the ones that were provided by the RH.

I agree!!!
I was given an engraved cake server that I used. If it wasn't engraved, I wouldn't have used it. It looked great in pics.
It is too much to worry about before and after the wedding.

We were just going to use the ones at the hall, but then someone got us a set as a gift, so we wound up using those instead. I don't think they are necessary.
