I'm curious? Did anyone just use what their hall provided? If not, I guessd I better register for them.

we used what the hall had, we didn't feel the need to register or buy toasting flutes.

thank you ladies. i am going to register for them rather than buy them. if someone else gives them to me we will have them--if not it wasn't meant to be.

I received Tiffany flutes at my shower but we did not use them at the wedding b/c I was afraid of them breaking or leaving them behind. We did use them with a bottle of Dom Perignon (that we received as an engagement gift) for our first night in our new apartment.

We carried them around with us when we took pictures with the guests at their tables.
But DH bought flutes a few years ago (they were on a really big sale, so he wanted to have them in his bar), so we had them for a while.

you can just use the ones the hall provides. only reason we had them, was because they were a gift

We used toasting flutes because we got them as an engagement gift.
Ours were from Waterford. We used them on our first anniversary, but other than special occasions they stay in our china cabinet.

Us too!

We received them as a gift, otherwise, I don't know what we would've done (it was before we had registered).

I decided after that to register for a cake server - I figure that was something I would get use out of in the future as well (I registered for the $30 Lenox set).

i dont think so... We personally received 3 sets for our E-party so we didnt have to buy them. We used a swarovski set for ourselves at the wedding, and an orrefors set for the MOH & BM speech. that was the ONLY day I saw those flutes I did take them out to wash them after the HM but thats it! Theyre sitting in boxes in our office!

we were given ours as a gift (not on my registry either) and we used them for seriously 30 seconds at the wedding
i definietly dont think they are a necessity

We registered for them because I got the impression that this was a must, and we got them, but we never used them - they're still in the box. The RH recommended we use theirs since they didn't want them to break either. We still have them and they're pretty - may use them at some point, but in hindsight, I probably never should've bothered registering for them (or the cake knife/server set).
