Is it too late for me to say 'I'M MARRIED!!!!'????

Hi Ladies,
It's been a couple of weeks since the big day but I wanted to say hello 'officially'. I'm so happy the wedding is over, BUT, I'm in major post-wedding withdrawal.....like I have a seriously pathetic case, i'm almost embarrassed for myself. Please help me get over it.

we didn't take a honeymoon yet either. My husband tried to talk me into a cheap one the other day. Fook dat! Pamper me biotch!

We didn't go on our honeymoon either right away. We're going to Cabo for 10 days the last week of April. That's what all of my friends are telling me, that I didnt' have the honeymoon to slowly bring me back to reality. It was like, wedding Saturday, day off on Monday, back to work on Wednesday as if I hadnt' just spent the last year of my life OBSSESSING over this thing and then it was just.....over.

DH doesn't even know what to do with me. I have to say it has gotten slightly better in the last few days. But seriously, I was unbelievable last week, even to myself. I was crying in bed when I got home from work, just like in this ridiculous funk. ugh...i just want to be a normal person again....not a 'bride'.....but it's hard to snap out of.

as for the post wedding blues, i think as time goes on you will feel less sad that the wedding is over.
I didnt go through the blues bc i was so happy to be done with the obsessing and the decisions...

now i can concentrate on other fun things with my husband like vacations, dinners, other people's wedding and events, dogs, babies etc

The time flies by so fast! i've been married for 9 months! it's like i just blinked! try to occupy yourself! that's all i can suggest.

welcome!! the down feeling does go away, and it turns into more of wistful one. but like Melissa said, getting proofs, then video, then albums, etc, helps ease it over time and then you're onto the next thing!

Thanks ladies. I know the post-wedding blues will go by just as quickly as the wedding planning. Like I said, I just need to get over myself.

I felt that way for a while too, pretty bad. Heck I'm almost at my 2 year anniversary and I'm still on LIW, that's got to tell you something!! Anyway, it does get better. Your wedding was something that took up a big part of your life, and now all the anxiety and excitement is kind of over, it's perfectly understandable to feel a little 'off' when you're supposed to be in wedded bliss. I found that moving on to your next big project is the best thing, something to take your mind to the next level. For us, we started house hunting; some couples start TTC right away, some look to further their career or catch up with family and friends or get a pet. HTH!!
