Is it okay for your bridal shower, b-party, and wedding to all be within the same month like for example
Jan 1 = Shower Jan 7 = B-party Jan 14 = Wedding
Like I know the b-party is usually close to the wedding but then shouldn't the shower be a little earlier?
I'd like to hear both sides of this....Did anyone have a positive experience having everything all close together? Did anyone have negatives? Was everything all spread out, did you like it that way, yay or nay?
My shower date was April 11th My b-party was July 26th The wedding was August 1st

See I have 2 weddings this summer plus I'm in my cousins in the beginning of Nov.....so in my opinion dedicating 3 summer weekends in a row to just one bride just seems like a lot to me.
Plus I know all her fam is here in NY so thats not an issue abt ppl traveling and her bachelorette party is out of NY state. I know it's not her fault b/c its her bridal party planning the other stuff but geez.

B-party - April 9- 12 Shower - June 14 Wedding - September 12
I wanted at least 2 months in between to just enjoy everything and not feel rushed

I think having everything one weekend after the other is way too much. Someone who is invited to all three events would basically have to give up the entire month to one person. Not to mention the big expense that it is.
My Shower - January 23 My B-Party - April17 Wedding - April 23
(To be honest my shower & b-party dates where picked around my sisters nursing school schedule, otherwise I would have never had my b-party the week before the wedding)
I liked having everything spread out because it gave me something to keep looking forward to. Plus I think it was easier on our friends and family financially to have it spaced out.

It is terrible that I dont remember dates except for the wedding??? My shower was mid July, my bachelorette party was late August and my wedding was October 31st.
hahahaa Ang i don't remember exactlyyyyy either??!! I had two showers. one was the first week in April I think?? And the other I believe was May 17th.
We didn't really 'do' bachelor/ette parties, but our little outing to Six Flags was Monday June 1.
Wedding Friday June 5th.
I think some people do it close together some people spread it out. Everyone does things for different reasons too, like bp being around, family being around, etc.

Technically its supposed to be close together. My mom was mortified that my shower was over two months before my wedding. For those who don't know my mom was a real stickler about 'proper' wedding etiquette. We butted heads over 'proper' vs. modern etiquette several times.
Mine was:
Shower: June 6 Bachelorette: June 20 Wedding: August 8
But my shower was determined by my college's reunion weekend since my MOH lives in Paris and only wanted to make one trip to the US before the wedding.
OMG we are not only wedding twins, we're shower date twins too!!!!

Didnt have a BP - was supposed to have a J&J but my MOH ****** & I told her to just forget it.
You should have crashed mine!!!! LOL!!!
And we also both had boats on our wedding so we were hanging out on the Great South Bay together. Laurie I think we are sole mates.

I think that's really close...but a lot of different factors could be at play, especially if there's a big OOT contingent.
My dates were:
Shower- 8/9 Bparty- 10/17 Wedding- 12/5
I thought it was perfect, and gave plenty of time for everyone. If I had it to do over maybe I'd have had my shower late August instead of early, because we had a few people who were on vaca that couldn't make it.
