Is it weird to call him...

Husband?

Last night, I was talking to people and said my husband will pick me up later.
I felt as though I was being fake saying 'husband' and as though I'm playing make believe.

It's still surreal.

Do you feel that way or are you comfortable with the term?

its very weird for me still... but maybe because we have not been married for long..

I say it and it still feels foreign and it is almost a concious effort to use it.

I totally still feel like I'm faking it when I say my full name... Everything has been completely legal for the past 6 months and I just feel like it's pretend
I'm starting to get used to hearing people refer to him as my husband, but its still weird to say it

Husband is one of the ones that has been easy for me - I love calling him my husband

The one that has been tough is my new last name, it still feels wierd, I think I'm getting used to it - but I never realized how hard it would be for me to lose my name. I loved my maiden name

Also I have trouble calling his mom Mom, it just doesn't feel natural, so I still call her Linda

Yeah, I still feel weird saying husband; I love that he is my husband but it feels strange saying it.

I still feels a little strange when I say 'husband' to other people but I also love to hear the word come out of my mouth. It feels like home when I say 'husband'

I agree with the PPs who said the name is the thing that's taken more time to get used to. Someone called me Mrs. _____ the other day and it took me a full minute to figure out they were talking to me!

It is becoming more natural, it was really weird for me for a few months. Still a little weird.

YES!!! When I go to say 'and my_________ husband' that is exactly how it is said....i have to stop and there is an obvious pause.

it just sounds funny to me

Married almost a year---and saying 'husband' still feels weird

writing my name or giving it to someone is evern weirder. when i call somewhere and they ask for my name---i still stumble when i give it

At the beginning it was, but now it is not weird at all. Plus all the kids at school call me Mrs. J_____ so I have become accustomed to the last names as well.

it still feels weird for me. And it feels weird using my new name too, I usually slip and give people my maiden name and then feel dumb when I have to correct myself!
