is there anything you miss from your single life?

be honest.. if could either be with your dh or without him as far as the things you miss

i would have to say my last name is a biggie lol. i fought hard to keep it but dh didnt ask for much and that was really important to him.

also i think i ask him his opinion more on things like clothes and stuff so i have been wearing uglier clothes

LMAO!!!!!

The only thing I miss is that sometimes my single friends will plan something really fun and they don't invite me because they assume that since I am married, I wouldn't want to be involved. I still need my girl time, too!

I really don't miss anything from my single life. Maybe because my married life hasn't changed much from when I was single.

Re: is there anything you miss from your single life?

I agree on the name thing. I got my temporary drivers license yesterday and it's just NOT ME!! Also, I would have to say smoking since I had to give that up!! Otherwise, like VickiC said, everything else is the same.

Re: is there anything you miss from your single life?

I would have to say my country!!! I've moved to London with DH and I'm trying to get adjusted. Also, I've only been able to find part-time work so far and am patiently awaiting my bank statement from my bank in the States so that I have proof of address and can add my name to DH's bank account. Right now I have to actually ASK him for money...I've never been in this situation before and it's very awkward!!!

I tend to wear more classic style clothes, so my husband has urged me to wear more sexy outfits these days

I can relate. I will try to invite my single friends out to fun events I hear about so that maybe they can meet a potential mate, but I don't find that they invite me out when they have fun events to go to.

Not a thing!

Its great having a 'designated date' for family functions and not having people ask 'When are you gonna get married' all the time!

Re: is there anything you miss from your single life?

The only thing I sometimes miss is the freedom you have being single - you can just go out or stop after work with out checking in or letting someone know.

Although I love having someone that cares so much

Me too...it's weird having two different last names--I hadn't really changed anything over until this past weekend when we were in New York. I managed to go to the Social Security office. But, right now, my banking and my passport are in my maiden name, I've hyphenated for work and I'm trying to use my married name for everything else!

I agree with the missing my maiden name... other than that I guess I miss having money to buy whatever I want! Right now everything is going into savings...

Re: is there anything you miss from your single life?

I agree with ChristineC68, when you're single, you're really only responsible to yourself...if you want to go out, you go out...you do what you want when you want.

To be honest, sometimes I do miss that.

Re: is there anything you miss from your single life?

Now if I were to think way, way, way back into a time i was truly single..i probably miss
a) being ableto make my own decoration decision - i would have liked to have a really girly adult bedroom but that will never happen now
b)haveing 100% say what happens to my money.
