Is this lame or pety of me?

So let me preface this post by saying I truly am not a jealous person and I feel so at peace and secure about my relationship with my dh.

That being said, one of his best friends from college happens to be a sultry (for lack of a better word) blonde. We have a really nice relationship actually (her and I)...she's fine....I actually am not insecure about their friendship at all and they've totally gone seperate ways since college...as in, they're no longer bffs...they're just old friends (DH is 33 so college was a long time ago).

Here's where it gets weird/bizzare...she calls him on our honeymoon in Maui (11/1/10) to tell us she got engaged and is getting married THIS new years day (ya, new years day - the date alone would be worth posting about). So she ruins our New Years eve....fine. On top of that, we have to HAUL down to DC. uuughhhhhhh.

So, I just ordered a badass fantastic dress from Karen Millen (gotta LOVE post xmas sales) and I just made a hair appt in DC and I picked up a new Dior eyeshadow compact. Is it pety of me to wanna look fukkin hot and smokin at her crazy @ss wedding?!

Nope, it's not petty or lame. I'd be doing the VERY same thing. You rock that dress!

No way!!! You're not being lame or petty. In general, I love going all out for weddings..hair, makeup, new dress. You're already sacrificing your new year's..might as well make the most of it!

I might be just as petty as you, but I'd do the same. Also, being that it's NYE, you should look HOT anyway.

Thanks ladies - your responses make me feel really good...AND *pumped* to get my vavavoooom on!

Here is a pic of the dress from the website! The bottom is more gold/metallic-ish than the pic suggests. Thoughts?!

Oh and by the way, OF COURSE I will post pics when I'm all dolled up!
