I want to laugh at that, but I don't think it's that funny. No denying GW's very strong interest in oil, but I, as an American voter, am not convinced that this is the ONLY thing the war on Iraq is about.
I just watched the entire presentation by Colin Powell to the UN, and it is *very* unsettling to hear things that we never heard before....satellite intercepted communications between an Iraqi col. and gen. about hiding weapons, mobilized biological weapons labs and active chemical weapons bunkers....if any of these weapons were to be used against us, I think we'd all be singing a different tune. JMO.

How hypocritical. We accuse our government about fighting for oil while polishing our SUVs in our driveways.
Besides, it it were really about oil, wouldnt the US have taken the Iraqi oil and killed Hussein after the FIRST Gulf War??????

I'm not accusing our GOVERNMENT about fighting for oil. I think our PRESIDENT is fighting for oil and re-fighting his Dad's war. The Bush family has billions invested in oil and energy. If the price of gas rose to $3 a gallon, they would benefit directly.

Basically I feel that has no need to be on this board, especially with the topic being all in caps, heck I thought it was going to a funny picture of being a newlywed or something.
I come to this board not to speak about polics.
I have enough talk about War down here and am constantly reminded as my husband throws on his flight suit.
I don't find that really funny and I don't think that is what the war is really about..

I understand that we should be able to talk about anything on here, but some have very strong feelings about religion and politics and maybe its best keep for FM.

This is a newlywed board and we can discuss anything here, there are no rules for any topic unlike the bride board, I will post whatever topic here as long as it is not rude, degrading or insulting. When you become an administrator of the board you can set the rules, as far as I am concerned there are no rules of what we can or cannot post on the NW board.
If you want to take it more seriously than it is go ahead, nothing off my my back. Life is way too short to sweat the small stuff. You are entitled to take it more seriously and I am entitled to laugh at it. With the way the world is going today I am sure there are way more important things you can exert your energies on instead of some silly email copied and pasted here.

why do you get so defensive when someone disagrees with you? Are you the only one here that is allowed to have a opinion about a topic? All that was said was that some have strong opinions about different topics. Politics and religion have always been a hotly debated issues.
I do not want to get into a debate with you on this. I, like you, can post whatever I would like also! I was not suggesting that I am an administrator on the board but merely making a suggestion, just like everyone else does!
