When i was younger (19-22) I wanted to be married by 28 & have kids...i only got married at 34 and do NOT want kids...i always thought i'd have some really cool corporate design job, but i am living more of the starving artist life right now..but life is good and i look forward to what's ahead!

I dig the starving artist thing as well...What do you do?

As for me: I never thought I'd be married this young (even though I'll be 29 tomorrow!) and I thought my career would be much further along..But I think God has a plan..and this is the path I'm meant to be on.

ETA: There are SOME things that have worked out as planned, like acting, living in Manhattan in a beautiful apt, and of course, marrying the man of my dreams

Not even close. I thought I would be working as a physical therapist (what I did /went to college for) get married around 30 and be continuing my partying life. Instead, I'm 27, live in the city, but would love to move south, married to the most amazing man, I'm a corporate lawyer and I live for nights with my husband and dog! Couldn't ask for anything better! (well, mabye a little less work, but cant have it all I guess)

totally different!
My plan as a young girl was to get married at 22, have 3 kids by 25, and be a lady of leisure. I always dreamed of my wedding as a fairy tale wedding, with everyone I loved all around me.

I ended up with a great career, marrying at 33, and my Mom passed away before she could see me be married.

Not the way I planned at all.....but everything happens for a reason. I'm devastated that my Mom couldn't see me get married.
But I'm sure glad I have my career, and I'm glad I didn't get married at 22 b/c my late 20s and early 30s really shaped who I am today and who I chose as a husband.
