Well I am NOT an interior decorator but I like light greens and blues for bedrooms bc I find those colors relaxing.

Living room I have like a yellowish, peachish and then dark wood furniture, white leather couch (dont ask pain in the *** but looks so pretty )

i like warm colors for the Living room. For the walls in the LR i have a chai latte color, i think thats what it was called. Also I love brown green and orange for the living room, if done right of course lol

its weird but im not a big red fan but I LOVE red for the kitchen and dining room, it goes well. I would like to do a dining room with red walls, but on one wall just in the middle part put up a board with damask wall paper, and then do like a black chandellier lol

for kitchen i like, white/black/grey and touches of red

for BR i would like blue and brown

i also like green and brown

I am having such a hard time because of the open floor plan.

i love color. it kinda depends on what type of furniture you have for the space.

we have this goldish yellow color for the bedroom it is so warm with our dark wood furniture.

we have a red living room from the previous owners. i hated it at first but love it now. i like red or blue for a kitchen.

i like a sage green for the bathroom.

Re: it is sooo hard.....

I went through this when we painted our house, it was really hard to pick everything out. I first went with a really light yellow (Lemon Ice I think it was) for the kitchen after it was painted I hated it and had the painters paint it over in a light light off white/blue color. It's a lot of trial and error (at least for me it was). I went through the same thing with the dining room (I wanted a gold color and DH wanted a deep dark red color) If I did it all over again I would have bought the sample mini cans from benjamin moore and did sample swatchs on foam board to try it out. We wasted a good amt of time & money on painting. I still have the extra paint cans of the reject colors in the basement

We just did a nantucket blue in our bedroom and love it, it is very warm and we did a silver sage for our bathroom, it is a restoration hardware color you can see on their website. DH wanted a say but when it came down to it he knew I would choose!

I know what you mean, we are redoing our kitchen and we chose green, then blue and then how many shades of blue and we still aren't sure! The open floor plan you have means that each room has to 'flow' into the next room so you would want to choose complimentary colors. For the kitchen I like pale blues and muted greens, or/and neutral colors like beige or cappucino, then you can take it out into the lr with the greens or blues- neutral colors work best because it helps create the flow.
I'm not an interior designer BTW-just thinking since we are redoing our home and trying to create a more open floor plan
