yeah I dont care for all those bumper stickers. Hey feel however you want to feel and have any views you want to have, but some are so tasteless and rude and nasty. Plus I think its stupid, you might encounter some crazy person who disagrees with you and acts like an ***. You never know nowadays what can happen. BIL's gf, got cut off by somebody in LI, so she cut him off, and the guy said something to her and she cursed him out. At the light he got out, ran to the car and put a gun to the window, she said he was even foaming from the mouth and looked insane. Thank god she sped off and called the cops and got his license plate. People are insane and will do the craziest thing for the smallest thing.

This is exactly why I do not give anybody the finger anymore if they cut me off, etc. I never did it a lot but if I was really angry, I would - and then someone said, hey, he could have a gun. Yes, it's rare, but it happens. UGH. NY s u c k s. (I know it could happen other places but more likely here where everyone is mistrusting, angry, in a rush and out of time.)

yeah its crazy, i saw on oprah how a man shot a guy bc of some arguement while driving, the son was in the car and he came on oprah to talk about it. I think this happened in texas or somewhere like that, so happens elsewhere too. I always yell at people, cut them off, give them the finger and yeah i need to really stop too. One time this cab driver was driving like a maniac and cut me off so badly and at a red light I started yelling out the window, well he all of a sudden started going in reverse quickly trying to hit me, i had to reverse so fast but he was out of his mind. He continued after to go down the same avenue and he was running EVERY red light, not stopping at any stop signs and driving like a mad person, he almost hit ppl a couple of times. Who knows who this guy was or what his issue was. Maybe he stole the car or who knows.

it's so true. You never know what the other driver is capable of and that scares me. I used to curse and yell and flip the bird, but now I'm just like, WHATEVER. you are clearly in more of a rush than me.

i really need to learn how to control my road rage, i do get REAL bad. And even after BIL's gf told us the story, this just happened to her this past weekend, i caught myself still acting this way when driving right after. I did stop myself when i thought of it. But yeah some will not care and if you piss them off will go crazy and who knows what they are capable of.

someone tried to run me off the road once b/c i was accidently blocking the entrance to the gas station off of a side street while i was waiting at a red light... he sped around and followed me down merrick rd and tried to run me off the road!

another time some crazy asss couple (they were older.. in their late 40s or so) followed me to the supermarket parking lot and got out of their car and started throwing sh*t at me b/c they said i 'came into their lane while i was making a right on red' like 10 blocks back

people are C R A Z Y ffucks!!!

See, that is the thing -- someone is ALWAYS going to be disappointed in the president that is elected. I can't stand Bush, however, he is my president and he does run our country and nothing I can do or say can/will change that until I can voice my vote when the time comes. For those who aren't happy that Obama is the new president -- well, all i can say is that he's not going anywhere and until the time comes to vote again, maybe you should just try to have faith in him. I've been praying for the last 4 years that God give Bush the strength to do right by this country....

What if I was raped, got pregnant and had an abortion and then was stuck in traffic behind someone who had a bumper sticker that said, 'Pro choice women are baby killers'. It is fine if that is how the driver feels, and they are allowed to believe in whatever they want, but what about the way it makes the person driving behind them feel?

While I do agree with you that people should consider how they make others feel- bumper stickers really are freedom of speech or expression and everyone is entitled to post it- no matter how sadistic, twisted or plain f'd up their opinion may be

and by the way- if I see another my kid is an honor student at such& such elementary- I am going to crash into their car until you cant read the bumper sticker anymore

IMO something like that to me is not right on a bumper sticker... Yes you have the right to an opinion but this statement makes no sense. I hate GW too but I wouldn't say he's not my prez. The truth is.. he is.. whether we like it or not.

i agree with you. Everybody always says well their is freedom of speech but the amendment doesnt just say freedom of speech. There is alot more to it. There is also the whole thing about clear and present danger they talk about. There are examples of this, one simple one they always said in school was how you cant scream fire in a movie theater, bc although yes you have freedom of speech to say whatever you want, that is causing clear and present danger. Better examples are how racist groups cant go into a neighborhood that is primarily that race they are against and go out and speak about how they feel, the law doesnt protect them although there is freedom of speech. By doing that then you are causing clear and present danger. So its not always that easy when it comes to that amendment and its not freedom of speech at any moment or at any cause, there are times where freedom of speech is against the law.

I dont think bumper stickers falls into that but in some cases who knows yeah. I mean if you put a racist bumper sticker on your car then that can cause a clear and present danger situation

there is a point where in the amendment they do deem it 'TOO FAR' thats why when certain ppl scream out well its freedom of speech i always say NO read the amendment bc its not just that. There are clauses and yes there are certain freedoms of speech that are against the law. I wrote a whole thing about it above.

Those protestors get arrested MANY times and yes that is bc they can cause a clear and present danger so sometimes depending on how they handle it then it is wrong and they dont have the right. Yelling at women and lets saying throwing things at them can cause a huge fight and cause people to get hurt so they do have to also protect ppl at the same time.
