Just curious...

Just curious...

Did your DHs help you with your thank yous? It took like a month after we got our proofs to pick a thank you since DH kept putting it off, then once we got them he didnt help me write one, and now that they're ready to be mailed he still hasn't printed the addresses and tonight told me he's 'tired of wedding stuff!' I'm ready to dropkick him. Seriously!

I wrote them all out and addressed a good portion but DH did a fair amoutnt of addresses...once he got bored and they were sitting there for weeks I finally ****** it up and did them...SO annoying...his handwriting was the excuse lol

stuart did not help...in fact, one of his employees made a comment about what i wrote in the TY card, and stuart came home and yelled at me! i was like listen to me, if you don't like what i wrote, then you write them. he shut up right quick

DH sorta helped me pick out the thank card...but i made the final decision.
And I actually wrote out every single card. As annoying as it was to write them all out, I knew if I waited for him - our guests wouldnt have received their thank yous until maybe our 1 year anni. So i kind of just ****** it up and didnt even ask him to help

lol after we picked out the pics I wrote out every single thank you alone. However, Dh did do the all of the printing of address' on the envelope since he has a fancy schmancy professional printer at work. lol Way better then the 2 we have at home. So i guess he helped but my hand hurt for a long time 150 TU's OUCH

Seriously! I'm ready to write

Dear _____,

Thank you.

Love,
Angela and Mike

on the ones on his side. If he's not going to help I'm putting zero effort into his friends/family thank yous.

you should, bc if you say a personal message he might be like, ummm Ang why did you tell my Aunt Bonnie that you loved her dress???? I would never say anything like that

Ang I did it ALL!!!!
Writting the cards, addresses, stamping and mailing.
Anthony who??
Maybe that's why I had to re-do some of them since I wrote 'I' instead of 'We'

I was lucky... DH wrote all of the ones for his side of the family and his friends! Which was a good thing... otherwise I probably wouldn't have finished yet.

No, he didn't write a single TY.

Re: Just curious...

I had to do anything that was related to writing because DH always claimed he has horrible handwriting and mine was much nicer (which is true). But that meant writing out addresses for all invites and thank you's, and all the thank you's themselves, and pick all the pics for them (we gave different ones out to each person). Let's face it there's just some things most guys don't want to help with, and that's one of them.

nope not a one...he did offer but i knew that meant in his own time and i wanted them out asap lol

Re: Just curious...

Nope........

but he's been working nonstop the past 6 weeks doing renovations on the apartment we're moving into-so the trade off is that he paints and spackles, the whole place, and renovates the bathroom- and I write out 160 Thank You's.

I got the better end of it if you ask me.

Edited for grammar.

he didnt write any of them! in fact the ones he said he wanted to write- a couple of close friends and his parents have been sitting here for weeks waiting to be done. Im sure I'll end up writing them eventually

Re: Just curious...

We have yet to do ours; I think being disappointed in our photos is making me push this task to the side. Plus I am super busy at work this time of year.

In any case, I think DH will probably just lick the envelopes closed. That will be the extent of his help!

No I did all of them myself.

Re: Just curious...

We had 75 guests...I would say he wrote thank yous to maybe 10 of them, 15 max. I wasn't going to write thank yous to his friends from undergrad because I barely know them, and he wrote some cards to his family (I wrote the majority).
