Hey guys I was going to post this on the other thread but it would land at the bottom and I don't think anyone would see.

Dani's brother Kenneth needed another surgery today. I'm not going to go into detail as I will leave that for her to do, but please keep them in your prayers.

On a better note, Kenneth's son was given a check from Big browns owners and DH said he was so cute, (the check was one of those HUGE ones) he was dragging it around the hospital saying this is my check for college.

The ceremony where they promoted Kenneth was on channel 7 news and channel 12 at 5pm, I *think* they might repeat it tonight.

I hope everything is alright. Thanks for the update. Kenneth and Dani will be in my prayers. Please keep us updated.

thanks for the prayers guys - they are always needed and welcomed. kenneth's procedure yesterday was actually considered somewhat minor lol that's what the brain doc says he says that about all of them! he is very modest and we can't even believe what he is able to do.

anywho, they put a 'valve' on his shunt (the shunt is a permanent drain) and the valve controls how much it drains - drain more, drain less, don't drain at all. so the docs can just change it with a magnetic remote (it is under the skin) -- it is really cool and state of the art.

kenneth did very well with it -- it was just a minor hiccup b/c he was all ready for rehab but then just needed to get this sorted out as this controls the pressure in his brain.
