kinda worried...

I had my annual obgyn appt like 2 weeks ago or so. I just realized at like 4:30pm that one of the nurses left me a voicemail yesterday asking to call her back. I called but they were already closed for the day.

Now Im just worried. My gyno essentially said they don't call about a pap unless something comes up that isn't normal or whatever, so now I have all night until tomorrow morning for my mind/anxiety to RUN WILD thinking of what horrible things it could be.

I know thats silly. But Im actually pretty calm for the most part bc I prayed about it and I know it will do no good to freak before I know what could be going on or not going on.

Has anyone else gotten a call back and had something abnormal but then they retest and it was nothing? Something like that?

What kind of stuff could they be calling back for? Do they run tests for different things other than pap at the annual? Maybe I just have a UTI or something?

I dunno what Im lookin for here.... But I just needed to write.

Don't worry!!! They come back ALL the time abnormal. I think I have had at least 3 come back like that and it turned out to be nothing.
I will keep you in my prayers !!!!!!!

Maybe it's a question about your insurance...

I'm sure it's nothing. I had that happen twice. One time they told me my test was contaminated. I asked what that meant and they said some error had occurred at the lab that made it unreadable. I always figured they misplaced it. I had to go get another one done. The other time really scared me because they said it came back abnormal. They ran a different king of test and I was completely fine.

I finally got DH to go to the doctor for the first time last April. He hates to go to the doctor because he is afraid that something will be wrong with him. He had a checkup, had blood drawn, and came out a champ. The Dr. said that he would call us within a week if anything came up wrong.
About 4 weeks later, the Dr. office called saying that Mr. Giordano's tests were back in and the Dr. was anxious to speak to him about his results. DH was so sick to his stomach worrying about it. I finally got him to call like 3 days later when I dialed the number and put the phone to his ear. Turned out that they called us for the results of another Mr. Giordano.

Try to relax....it could be something small. If it is an abnormal pap then they'll resched. Try not to worry a lot of pap's come back abnormal and it's becasue of the smallest things.

I'm sure it's nothing to get too worried about. let us know what you hear okay?

dont worry, I had an adnormal pap, which lead to worse things ( sorry just trying to be honest) and i the end it worked out fine.. whatever it is going to be its going to be God has a plan and you worrying isn't going ot change that hang in there it will be fine. lets pray its a silly question or clerical question

Try not to worry too much. They could be calling for 100 different things. My doctor's office called me because I didn't pay enough you think they would say these things in the voicemail.

I just received the same call.
Apparently, they didnt get enough cells. (said it happens often)
How annoying!
I have to go back within 6 months and try again.

Perhaps its the same reason!!!!

they did the same to me just last month. Come to find out, everything was normal- they just didn't get a sufficient amount of external cells so I have to repeat the procedure in 6 months.

It'll be okay!

Check your VM Jess-If NAte is a good boy he should give you a message I called. If not hegets a spanking from you: a definete destresser!

It will all be ok-probably nothing. Call me when you get home if you want to think of crazy worst case scenarios together and then roll our eyes in tandem for beign worrywarts.

You are not silly! Hopefully everything is okay! You can vent away...there is nothing wrong about being a little scared. Just make sure to keep praying for the best!

i just got your message! thx for calling!! Nates on the phone with his dad right now so I cant ring you back at the moment.

I feel better after reading that this happens alot and maybe ill just have to go back within 6 mos? I hope thats it!!!

My mom also took me out for a mini shoppin spree...which always helps!

i know exactly how you're feeling - i had that call once too, and in the end it turned out to be something minor, but all the fretting and worrying can drive you crazy! just try to relax (sounds like you are), and know that it could be something like, we need another copy of your insurance card (i've had that happen too!)
