Re: Kitchen Curtains
ok, here are my pics of our kitchen... the first one was a little dark so i had to lighten it... this is our kitchen/eat in area... its to the left when you first walk in the front door... the long curtains are an off-white color... i thought the maroon color would go best with our cabinets. there are 2 big windows right next to each other and then one window standing alone to the right of the 2 big ones.
the second pic is of our actual kitchen... if you are standing in front of the kitchen table, with your back towards the window, the opening to the ktichen is right in font of you.... we have those 2 small windows above the counter top, but i thought curtains may look a little funny there.. plus i like to put things on the ledge of the windows... im thinking of eventually decorating it with maybe some fake flowers going around the windows, or something on either side of the clock
I have a valance in my kitchen... i dont have a picture of it but I can show you which ones I got?

Re: Kitchen Curtains
Ok. I have the top valance not the bottom part.
I have 2 windows side by side so I had to add 2 valances.. And the bar I used was the thicker bar that you dont see and it sticks out a little making the room look bigger.
Ill take a pic of my kitchen tonight and try to post it...
What color is your kitchen? have you ever looked at countrycurtains.com? they have TONS of great curtains and valances and they are so nice in there!
We have valences with blinds (we have a kitchen/dinning room combo). I am still looking for something for my sliding glass door which is also in my kitchen.

Re: Kitchen Curtains
We have light blue valences on our 2 kitchen windows, and we also have the horizontal blinds. I don't have any pics but I think it looks nice I didn't think full curtains would look right in the kitchen. It's a pretty small room, as it is!

Re: Kitchen Curtains
I actually need to put curtains in our kitchen/dining room. The actual kitchen doesn't have any windows, but there is a small dining area that I need curtains in.
I don't know what to put in there, it needs something, but like Marisa said, I don't think full curtains would look good either.
I like what I have on the door to the porch. It's a light, white with green embroidery curtain and it's cute and kitchy looking to me. If I can find something like that for the resrt of the windows Iw ould be happy!

I think Full curtains would look awesome! And have them 'pool' on the floor just a little bit. I love long curtains so I'm biased LOL
