Labels to address TY's (Tacky or No?)

Please let me know what you think....

I haven't written TY's out yet, but am thinking of having all the addresses on a template for labels so that I can send them out as soon as I have them done.

Are labels tacky???

PS - am I spelling labels right?

Tacky or not, I'm doing them.
I'm doing the Clear ones for the TYs.

LOL Sassy! That's what I was thinking! I did the right thing with the invites. I need a break from 'classy'!

What does everyone else think? As I'm waiting for responses I'm slowly inputting the addresses.... anyone

I dont think tacky is the word. It just doesnt look as nice as printing directly on the envelope or as personal as handwritten. It seems the worst of both worlds to me. But I dont think you are violating any rules - if you dont mind then it should be AOK with everyone else.

I printed right on the small ty envelopes and the addresses were all crooked so I say YES to labels!!

oh who cares???? it's just the outside of the stupid envelope. i don't care what people think. if they don't like it then they can come over handwrite them for me.

I feel the same way, yabbo! Who really cares how it is addressed - it is a thank you note!

PS I used clear labels and not even the etiquette snobs (you know my stories) made any comments!

I used clear labels with a really nice font, they looked great, plus I had these funky green envelopes and the colorful love stamp- I am really happy how they turned out.

I wish you posted this before the snow storm -i spent the whole weekend handwriting all my TYs and god did my hand cramp!

Thanks to Stef's suggestion though, I bought an embosser for the return addresses and they look awesome - thanks Stef!

Isnt that awesome? Im getting a new one (with my married name on it - my husband FINALLY got the hints) and I cant wait. I use it for everything.

It's so awesome and came in the mail so fast- we are looking to buy a new place soon so then all I have to do is change the plate and get a different design if I want to - I got the Floral Sprig design - FREE MARTHA IS RIGHT - she's got awesome ideas-thanks again for suggesting it!

Im getting the tree!

Luke got it for me for Christmas so he was trying to keep it as a surprise (even thought I flat out said i wanted it). So we are looking for cabinet knobs and see an acorn knob and he says 'do you like the acorn or would you prefer a tree?' and I say 'well, i dont want anything like that for the knobs..blah, blah, blah'. It took him asking me 3 more times to finally figure it out. Hahhaha

I got the Floral Sprig for the thank yous but now i want the snowflake for the holidays/winter and the tree too - i have to be stopped!
