Lake George Recomendations?

Lake George Recomendations?

Hey Girlies,
So we are thinking since I already had the baby and DH took vacation time the week of our anniversary because that was the week I was due...

That we would plan a trip somewhere just to get away...

We were thinking Lake George or Cooperstown, but I have NO IDEA where to stay in Lake George..

Any reccomendations would be awesome

I can't give a recommendation of an actual place to stay, DH's parents rent a house every year and we stay there with them. This year were going the first week of August. The house they rent is in Bolton Landing, its about a half hour from the actual Lake George Village. Bolton has its own little village that you can walk around and its own beaches that you can use.

I usually spend most of the week laying on the beach with DH's niece and nephew and SIL and its one of the best weeks of my life.

Check on www.tripadvisor.com just type in lake george and than click on hotels...you will find a list of top places and reviews let me know if u need any help!

i was not a fan of lake george at all! maybe i am a snob but if you are looking for a quick getaway I would not recocmend that drive. If you want some recc. let me know ! love to help

I think Cooperstown is just all bed and breakfasts and that's really not practical for you guys with Dean. I've stayed in Lake George but I forgot the name of the place. It was a little cabin with a small kitchen, living room, and bedroom. It was a lot of fun. You should look for efficiencies or cabin rentals. I guess I'm really no help since I dont know any names of places. Sorry!

Lake George is my favorite place on earth!! We are going back next year and I can NOT wait. I went there for 12 straight years growing up. We stayed at Depe Dene resort and LOVED it.
