Last lecture...turn on ABC

turn on ABC Primetime. I forget who it was but someone on here posted a few weeks ago about the professor at Carnegie Melon- Randy Pausch who found out he had pancreatic cancer and would die, so he gave his 'last lecture'- very (sad but) inspirational. he is still living and Diane Sawyer is interviewing him. Interesting story. His lecture is on youtube but catch ABC now 10-11pm!

ETA: link to his lecture online

This is DEF hitting home.....especially since of whts been going on with my mom!! We're actually waiting for the results from her second needle biopsy of tumors on her pancreas now! The doctors have been telling us that the fact that she has multiple tumors is a good sign, yet this guy has 10 tumors!! Def scaring us!!

im really sorry to hear this, marie. i remember you posting about your mother a while ago. definitely keep us all updated. theres so many of us here if you need to vent, need support or prayers. not that anyone can know really what youre personally dealing with, but i bet alot of us have had experiences with a parent or family member with cancer (i lost my dad as i think you know). what do the doctors mean by multiple tumors being a good sign?

Thanks for the Jess!!! All the doctors said (we've been to a few) that having multiple tumors was a good sign because for the most part cancers grows in one spot (or something like that- I've heard sooo much medical talk)...but now this guy had 10 tumors!!! Its like our hope just flew out the window! We should be getting the results of the biopsy any day now (the 1st one came back inconclusive).

So sorry to hear about your Daddy!!

thx

again, update us on your mom, please!

and also, i was justing thinking, try not to lose hope based on hearing he has 10 tumors. Cancers are just so different from one case to the next, ya know! Even 2 ppl with the same exact form! There are so many different factors.
