hmm...i guess it depends on the place of employment???? but if u gave notice i would think they'd have to let u finish out ur days with compensation considering ur not technically quitting until that day.

Thats what I think, but I cant find anything specific, its all very vague. My boss (ex) is a stickler so I ahve to know my stuff before I say anything.

Good question...well, if tell your boss that you want to stay for the next two weeks because that is how long you anticipated staying with the company for, and he/she says no, then you may be able to get away with collecting unemployment. Basically, you need to show that your boss let you go earlier than you wanted. How long did you plan on staying there?

Good question...well, if tell your boss that you want to stay for the next two weeks because that is how long you anticipated staying with the company for, and he/she says no, then you may be able to get away with collecting unemployment. 2 weeks, thats what I gave him. I told him Im going to bow out nicely (no fighting or arguing) and give my 2 weeks notice, those are my almost exact words

Ummmm, I'm pretty sure they have to pay you your two weeks (if that's what you gave them). You never asked to not come back....you gave them notice......so you should be compensated for that.

What was his reason?
