we really lucked out with this place. i've been in the bldg for 4 years but on the other side. so when dh and i got this place last year it was just nirvana. still is. we really want to buy a house but i will be SO sorry to lose the view.
i'm on the couch right now with the laptop looking out the deck doors, and i see the airport, the Capitol dome, and the Washington Monument. we are really lucky.
Thats awesome. I look out onto a street and i can see the green neon glow of 711 and out my back window a nasty asss barking dog....gotta love new york

yep! just pulled it. it bubbled over a bit so i have to soak the cookie sheet it was on. i should have put down parchment paper or foil for a better clean up. oh well. at least it was one of my old sheets and not the new Calphalon ones! smells really good. i have at least another 2 dozen apples in the fridge (we stocked up before the wedding and never ate them, so it's use or lose time) so I'll be making either more pies, or maybe I'll attempt some canon balls.

B/c my DH is afflicted with the same ailment! We have 2 XBox 360s (one broke and he couldn't bear to be without it while it was being fixed so went out and bought a new black one--'but it matches the stereo equipment' with the money he won in Vegas on the Bach Party weekend; an old XBox; and a brand new Game Cube that someone just had to have this weekend when he saw it in the store and is now hunting high and low for Mario Cart... And he wonders how I had time to be on the boards!
