We met in high school through a mutual friend...became really good friends jr year and summer before sr year started dating. We got engaged in 2004 and just got married about a month ago.

We met through Christiancafe.com. DH was actually just on a free 7 day trial that his friend kinda pushed him into. Neither one of us expected this, since he was in Alaska (where he was born and raised) and I was in PA. We were just kind of looking for friendship/fellowship, but God clearly had a bigger plan for us. We talked since Nov 03 as long distance friends, and it was a great foundation for us since we could only communicate by phone and email. Lots of long convos. Finally felt moved to meet in 2005 and totally knew when we met in person. He bought the ring right when he got back and we were engaged 9 mos later. Long story short!

OMG... this sounds like exactly me and DH although we met on catholicsingles.com and he was on a trial too and my friend forced me to join! although it turned out we were both from long island so we didn't have to wait 2 years to meet! (Great story though!)

thx i think i signed up for cath singles at that time too but if im talking about the right site, it was just starting and barely anyone was on there! so slow.

anywho, yea we had a bit of a LONG buildup!

we met at a bar through mutual friends senior year of college. He went to RIT a school full of geeky boys. I went to Geneseo where there was a 7:3 ration of girls to guys. Needless to say there was a lot of intermingling between the two schools. We dated for 4 1/2 years before we were engaged. We were engaged for a year and a half. We just got married in Hawaii in July.

We'd see each other out at company parties or after shows, but never really knew each other well. Our first date was in August '05, and we knew we were in love by that November. We were engaged in April of '07, and have now been happily married for 2 months!

sounds good to me, better than 20. Its funny bc dh's friends bday is next week and they were talking today. DH said to him WOW youre gonna be 31 next week and his friend said no 21...after the age of 30 you go back down to 21.
