Would you wait one more year if it worked out that you would have to work the first year after the baby is born or would you do it anyway?

I'd wait...
How old are you?

Re: Lets just say you are ready for a baby
if it were me and I was ready in every other way, yes, I think I would start trying- never know how long that will take- its shorter for some longer for others, so it could take a year to conceive and then by the time you give birth it could all work out perfectly.
And if not, you are still ready, so why wait?

I am 27 but would actually be 28 for the time frame that I mentioned.

I'd wait if you really wanted to stay home with the baby

you are still young where you have at least another 10 years to have children... If anything, I say try, but don't try and see what happens... You may get pregnant tomorrow, or next year...

i would wait - but remember for 9 months you are preggo so you can factor that in too....so if you have to work 1 more year and you are pregnant for 9 months you really only have to wait 3 months before you start trying KWIM?

Re: Lets just say you are ready for a baby
You def. never know how long it can take. We thought it would def. take us 4/5 months if not more luckily we conceived quickly but I never in a million years would have though it would have been that quick. On the other hand I have a friend that took over a year for them to have a child..that was my biggest concern so I figured let's just start now we were both 33 and ready.

The 9 months is already factored into it so we will see...

You girls are right. I have no idea how long its going to take. I dont think its going to be easy for me eight. I do not have a regular cycle so I think its going to be tougher
thanks for all the advice

Re: Lets just say you are ready for a baby
We've been trying for 5 months and are not pg yet. I would go to the dr and see if fertility would be an issue. If the dr feels it isn't then I would wait. If the dr says yes, then I would just go with it and let whatever happens happen!
Good luck with whatever you choose!

Re: Lets just say you are ready for a baby
I definitely don't want to work at all once I have a baby (esp when s/he's an infant, since I plan to breast feed). So I'd wait. Probably not the FULL YEAR tho. If it were me, I'd wait till about 6 months and then begin to try (just in case it takes longer than expected). But i definitely wouldn't start yet if it meant that I'd have to work the first year of my child's life, since it's crucial I be with him/her (to nurse). But that's just me.
Good luck!!!

What if you conceive right away? I was 24 and 27 when I conceived with my kids and the first one was the first attempt.
