LIF question

For the people that haven't moved to LIF yet - why not?

For me, I feel like I can't. I already have a LIF stalker! I know someone who posts there regularly and mentions every time I see her that she can't wait for me to join so she can see when DH and I are TTC and how much we spent on our house, etc.

She's obviously not a favorite person of mine and I'm afraid to post on there because who knows who it will get back to!

I definitely feel like I'm ready to move over there (although I'd still come over here) but she knows enough details to be able to identify me.........

For me I like the ladies on here, I don't know a lot of the people over on LIF.

Plus besides like 2 boards (fashion one and childless fams).....they aren't relevant to me at all. I also log in through NYCityweddings.com so I'm not out in Long Island.

I also still like talking about the wedding not like crazy every second of every day , but I'll still go on BHB or 11er board and share stuff I feel like on LIF there is no wedding talk at all. JMO

But let's say I wasn't...personally for me, we are not ACTIVELY TTC (if it happens, it happens, and we're fine with the result either way), we don't have kids, we are not currently pregnant, we do not own a home, 85% of the time we get along so I don't feel the need to go on the relationship board, I'm kinda over the celebrity gossip thing, I'm cheap and a bit of a tomboy so fashion and beauty isn't something I like to talk about, I'm an avid reader but the storyboard is dead, and I love to cook but I don't have enough of a weekly menu since it's only two of us to feel relevant to post. And this NW board is much more active.

So that's what my reasoning is for not quite feeling like I truly belong there. But I don't feel like I truly belong here anymore too. Like I said in the other thread, I'm kinda in limbo. I feel like I have much more in common with the girls here, who are more newly married, not quite looking to settle down yet, etc. than those who have been married a long time, are having kids, buying homes, etc.

I've been lurking FOREVER there ... I sometimes chime on on NFR or relationships ... but I bought my apartment two years ago so the home board doesn't interest me, and I'm not TTC (BUT I WISH I WAS) so I can't post there ... the NW is DEAD DEAD DEAD on LIF ... so I have nothing to contribute to.

Yet.

I secretly lurk the TTC & Pregnancy boards bc I have major baby fever lately....even though DH and I don't plan to TTC for a few years

I remember that....I think I saw someone reference it the other day over there too and I just rolled my eyes.

I have an account but mostly lurk...
