DH and I are celebrating our dating anniversary next weekend and want to make it special. Here are our ideas so far. Can you help by adding some more great get-away ideas?
Atlantic City: Smashing Pumpkins, Comedy Show and Some Blackjack
NYC: Tourist Style (Museums, Comedy, etc)
Cabin in the Woods: with hot tub of course. But no outside entertainment/dining.

how about a b&b on the island, close to the wineries? maybe there's a romantic dinner cruise?

shelter island - now it is cheap and you can take the ferry to greenpoint or the hamptons (i think) - really nice.
We did dc - another city - free museums, great restaurants, go to baltimore if you run out of things to do just great scenery.
I like the nyc tourist thing - i watn to do this with dh in the spring.

I love concerts so I like the AC idea, and then gambling and going out to eat there would be good too, you can even do a spa.
The NYC thing, if you don't go to the city often then its good. But if you go often then won't be like a getaway. I guess since we go to the city all the time, i would feel it wasnt like a getaway well if thats what you want. Going out to the city would be fun but depends what youre looking for.
What about vermont, poconos, martha's vineyard or something like that if you want a quiet getaway.
If you want more activities then I say AC or mohegan sun or foxwoods

We do CT a lot, take the ferry over...Mystic, Foxwoods...
