Love Never Fails (Religious so if ya are offended, skip it)

Someone sent this to me and I just really liked it so I am passing it along.

Today's Scripture

“Love never fails” (I Corinthians 13:8).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

We all have people in our lives that are difficult at times. Maybe it’s someone you work with, a family member or even your spouse. Relationships can be complicated, but remember: love never fails. The Word of God clearly defines love in 1 Corinthians 13. It says that love is patient and kind. It doesn’t seek its own way. Love doesn’t keep a record of wrongs. And most importantly, love never fails. Notice that this chapter doesn’t talk at all about how you feel. God’s love isn’t about feelings. It’s a choice. You can choose to be patient, even when you don’t feel like being patient. You can choose to be kind, even when you don’t feel like being kind. No matter what situation you find yourself in, you can choose love. You are never more like God than when you are walking in love. And when you are walking in love, you will never fail because love never fails. Open your heart to God’s love today. Ask Him to show you how to love others better. As you walk in love, you’ll find peace and live in victory all the days of your life!

i love this jenn! We had 1Corinthians as the cover to our program for our wedding...and it was an AMAZING version of it. some say it's cliche - but i just love it. every word is just so true. we should keep this going :) i get daily scriptures sent to my email if anything it gives people hope & peace - and people who aren't christians dont have to read it right? anyways, i love this verse!

i love this jenn! I agree! They make me feel better when I get them and like you said, if you're not a Christian thats fine-just don't read em. I avoid posts on subjects that I don't like.

Very nice - we used the Corinthians reading in our ceremony - it's very common, but that's for a reason. I really believe in what it says - it's good to be reminded though because sometimes it's easy to forget!

I'm not Christian and I think this verse has meaning for all of us. I think we can all benefit from a little reminder of what's important regardless of what kind of holy book it came out of. Thanks Jenn!

My friend at work used to get a really good one - it had something about 'Lounge' in the title... can't remember. We used to have religious discussions (and debates lol) all the time.

Thanks so much for posting this. Was nice to read and put me back in focus. DH and I had a scuffle already this am over my parents coming in to stay this weekend.

Also, looks like this was from Joel Osteen. I'm not on his email list, though, so not sure how to get on.

I get mine from God's Daily Promises. It's a verse a day & then a little explanation & sometimes a prayer. I love them it's like a daily reminder of how to live & gives a little glimmer of hope for the day makes me to remember the bigger things in life.... sometimes their a little longer, sometimes short & sweet...sometimes they relate to me directly - sometimes not...but All in all i really like it

Found the actual Joel Osteen page...think i'm gonna sign up for this one since i love him & his wife There's two options on the left hand side...u can either get the 'Daily word from Joel & Victoria' or a weekly e-votional...or both. here's the site...
