Nevermind- I found this one on cooking light & it seems pretty good, I may sub in fat free half & half:

Fettuccine Alfredo

1 tablespoon butter
1 1/4 cups half-and-half
3/4 cup (3 ounces) grated fresh Parmesan cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat.

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add half-and-half, cheese, salt, and pepper; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; add pasta, tossing gently to coat.

I thought so too, but came across a really good one in Prevention magazine.
1-1/2 cups 1% milk
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon spread
3/2 cup grated parmesean,
salt, pepper to taste

in a medium saucepan, whisk together 1/2 cup of the milk, flour, salt & pepper. Whisk in remaining milk and bring to a simmer. Mixture will begin to thicken. Cook about 2 minutes then add spread ( I cheat and use butter) and spinkle in grated parmesean. Stirring frequently, cook another 3 to 4 minutes until thickened.
Toss with hot pasta.

I add peas and cooked shrimp to make this a one pot meal.
eta: Prevention mag called for whole grain pasta and also broccoli in the recipe.

You're welcome.
I like the sauce just a bit thicker, so I add a bit more flour, and reserve some of the pasta water just in case it is too thick.
I don't like fat free H&H - it has other things in it to give it body like regular H&H.
