lucky me.. i get to go to SS today

soooooooooo NOT looking foward to it..

i HATE their hours.. 9-4.. mon thru friday...YUCK


i have to leave work at 3 today and head over to melville SS office... i am grateful that i do work in Melville so i dont have to go far, but i that i dont have to wait forever

i wen tto SS about 10 days ago.. the one in Mineola and i was in and out of there in 15 min. To save some time o on the website and print the name change form ( i assume that's why ur going) and have it filled out for when u go. make sure u have everythinguneed u dont want to have to trut back there.

Sounds like uhave all ur babses covered! u should be in and out! good luck. althought when i went to get my name changed and had every possible peice of paper under the sunwih me and i was FULLY prepared the girl goes to me.. 'oh just give me ur marriage lic and thats all i need'
i wanted to ring her neck cuz i was carrying around all this extra cr@p for nothing. lol.. anyway good luck

oh and i went to the DMV last week, so of course i forget the Title to my car for the registration.. soooooo now i have to go back there!

at least im not the only one who forget it!! i was soo mad..
but yea, the hours are at least better over there

SS isn't too bad... I didn't get there at 9 on the dot so I did have to wait about 45 minutes, but as soon as I got called it took less than 5 minutes and i was OUT!

I went to the nice convenient 5 min away ss office for them to tell me oh we dont do that here anymore you have to go downtown
someday I will get to change my name.. they should just make it automatic as soon as you get a marriage license they notify ss and dmv and they send u new cards!!

i was done in about a half hour.. the place was on the crowded side.. i thought it would be longer..but wasnt too bad
