for those of you who registered at Macys, did anyone do the promotion they were having for completion where if you spend $100 or $150 ( I can't remember which) you get a $25 gift card? Well I did it months ago and have still not received the gift card. When I called Macys they said that it is done through headquarters and they have no idea how long it will take.
We never received a gift card. We got a 15% coupon to purchase the reminder of our registry which is valid 90 days after your wedding date. We then got a 10% coupon which is good for 60 days. Both coupons were valid on certain departments but not for the entire registry departments. At least Macy's we got some discounts and have a registry completion program which unlike Crate & Barrel we received no coupons to complete our registry. I think it's good marketing for brides and grooms trying to get everything from their registry.
Usually those promotions are not just registry specific. My mom has gotten those cards right away - at the register. So I have no idea what they are talking about when they say it comes from headquarters.
