Makeup
How did you learn to apply makeup? What is your favorite makeup technique?Have you ever taken a class on makeup application?
I'll go 1st:
I learned by watching my mother. My favorite technique is to use a light eyeshow under my eyebrow to help my sunken in eyes pop. I went to a MAC makeup application class but found it more interesting than helpful.

Re: Makeup
None of the women in my family wore makeup....trial and error for me.Im basic and apply everything with my hands-except blush its the only thing I use a brush for.

Re: Makeup
I also learned by watching my mother. My favorite technique is to apply liquid foundation with a brush...for me it makes a world of differance. It has a nice matte look with a brush. I never took a m/u class but honestly would like too b/c i dont know how to really apply beautiful evening makeup or get all crazy with blending colors and stuff, which id love to learn.

Re: Makeup
honestly i was just always around it... my mom is a liscensed cosmetologist so i grew up around hair & makeup...plus i danced my entire life so i was wearing makeup at age 3 for recitals lol...As i got older my mother showed me little things here & there & then i just always played around with it...i also did a TON of theatre so i was always around stage makeup. after highschool when i was dorming in manhattan i took some classes & did some training...still do on the regular
if anyone is interested 'The Powder Group' in manhattan offers some neat classes...u can go on their website & check out the scheduel..they have guest artists come in & they have an outline on the site of what each class is & what it focuses on... but that's more for if u want to learn to do makeup on others.. we also have classes & sittings at my BE boutique (more for u to learn how to do makeup on yourself)
...and i offer lessons too!
