Making Your Own Albums

I plan on *trying* to make our albums. I checked shutterfly but their pages seem pretty thin. I guess they're good for most things, but I would like a better quality.

Does anyone know where I get get a better quality album made online?

I think MJDoc12 did an album herself. Maybe she can help.

i've heard of people using mypublisher.com or blurb.com

i've ordered some from snapfish for other types of books.. the pages are thin - magazine/yearbook like...

I made one through MYPUBLISHER-well two. They were our parent albums. They are good quality but they are thin-I mean its high quality photo paper essentially. All of the DIY places will be about the same. I am amking our wedding album through Picaboo.com because they had nicer covers and themes but they are much pricier. Im ordering this weekend so if u want I can FM u when i get it and let you know the quality.

My only gripe with MYPUBLISHER is that some of my pics looked grainy and they were all the same size because our photgrapher did digital proofs.

Blurb.com and mypublisher are your best bets....they are easy to use--it just takes times to organize it.

if you REALLY can handle photoshop---i know you can do some editing with pics in there and then save each image as a jpg and upload them as full bleed pages on either book (mypub or blurb)

the quality of the pages are nothign like if you did a professional album, but its SOMETHING and it looks great. i've used blurb.com and given 3 books as gifts. you can see it in my review--around like page 5 or so i think

I'm making our own album, and frankly, didn't go through any online site..... I bought a very high quality ivory leather album at aspinal of london, and am making an old school album complete with silver photo corners....

I'm putting mainly proofs in it, since we got over 1k of them
