How long does it take for the marriage license to come? I got married on July 8 and my officiant sent it certified and i got the return receipt saying it was received on July 13. It is now July 26 and i have yet to receive it! I'm getting worried because i moved into our new home and did a change of address and i'm afraid it's lost somewhere. Does it usually take this long or should i be worried???

We got married 6/29 and received the marriage cert on 7/14, so it took about 2 weeks. I'm sure you'll get it in the next couple of days!

ours took about a week to come in. did you put the old address on the marriage license?? that might be what is causing a slight delay. but if you did a change of address i wouldn't worry too much, they will fwd it to you....but it might take an extra week or so.

Ours also took about 2 1/2 weeks to arrive. It probably also depends on where you filed and where it had to be mailed. We filed in White Plains, got married in Brookhaven, then had to have the license mailed from WP to CT. I'm sure it will arrive soon!

We got married on 4/27 it was with our mail when we got home from our HM 12 days later
