merrick or massapequa??

Okay - we have to decide tonight!!

We are looking at two houses, nearly equivalent in every respect, except one is in merrick and one is in massapequa.

Not to start an argument, but which is better? What stereotypes are associated with each?

Oh...the one in massapequa is 3 blocks north of merrick road, and the one in merrick is 3 blocks south of merrick road.

massapequa, but I am biased as well since my parents live there Merrick is a great area, look at both homes then decide.

Both are great areas with good schools. I guess it would depend on the house.

Hello. We bought in Massapequa and LOVE it!!! Both great areas!

I grew up in Massapequa, but my grandparents lived in Merrick- both are great, just make sure your in the good school district, i know Merrick has a few.

Both are wealthy areas, so similar stereotypes. There has to be one house you like better, use that as your basis. good luck!

I grew up in Massapequa.... great schools.... and now I teach there too..... no comparison really, but I love Massapequa :)
