Messy DH (X-post from LIF)

Messy DH (X-post from LIF)

My husband is really really messy. I love him more than anything- but he is like Mr Disorganized.

I am not a neat freak- and if I don't pay attention can be a little messy myself. But I try and make a conscious effort to make sure things are tidy.

I'm afraid that when we have kids we are going to be 'that couple' (you know, the messy ones)

Yesterday I labeled his drawers not to be OCD. But it's so annoying to see clothes sticking out, and over stuffed.

Any ideas on how I can help organzie my hubby? Without sounding like a nag?

oh Peg I feel your pain he is soooo bad. He keeps insisting that he needs to 'buy socks' - in reality he has about 600 pairs, he just needs to wash them!!!

I'm so sorry that can be really annoying I'm sure. Thankfuly DH is very neat and I dont' have that problem with him but why don't you talk to him about it? I don't think that talking about it will automatically make you a nag. Saying it in a calm and rational matter can't possibly come off as nagging. It's hard to get someone to change after they've been doing the same thing for 20etc.. years....but if you want it to change you have to bring it up with him and explain why you need him to be neater.
Good luck
