I kinda like it. It reminds me of something Jackie O would wear.
Can't wait to see the ball gowns!!!

I think it's nice...and warm, it's hard to look nice and be warm at the same time, all things considered, I think she looks great!

Re: Michelle Obama's Outfit
Michelle accessorized the dress with unusual green gloves from J. Crew and green shoes.
Necessary considerations for her inaugural outfit:
(A) It had to be warm. The upper part of the coat and the back of the sleeve are lined with a pashmina for extra warmth.
(B) Sophistication counts. The fabric and color are also very sophisticated with a layer of lace over wool. The color is called lemongrass.
(C) It’s not a suit, unlike most of the other first ladies' outfits. Mrs. Obama chose a sheath, a style that that skims and flatters the body.

After getting a better look on TV, I have to say I really like it for her! I think the sheath dress is actually flattering for her. I could not tell from the picture that it was a lace overlay on the wool...I like that. I think it was appropriate for her. And I think the girls are really cute! I can't wait to see what she wears to the ball.

I personally really liked it and thought she looked great in it. I think it was appropriate yet had a little 'wow' factor to it.
I just saw her ball gown too and I love that too! Elegant, beautiful and easy to travel in since they have to go to 10 events!

Re: Michelle Obama's Outfit
did not like the ball gown at all...she looks so good in vibrant colors....also a little sparkle would have been nice. It just looked out of season. Also when you are muscular, I think slinky or structured looks better than all that chiffon.

It wasn't what I was expecting, but I loved it. I think it was pretty on her...elegant. I also like that she showcased a young, unknown designer.

You know, they actually mentioned that she wasn't the first First Lady to wear white. I think there were about five (Nancy Reagan; I remember them naming Hillary but I remember her blue gown, I can't remember white).

Re: Michelle Obama's Outfit
It looks like puffy toiletpaper, and really looks like its a little too big for her and doesn't accentuate her figure OR her skin coloring... a very blah choice, I think.
