MIL... needs to learn when to bite her lip!

So, my Dad was/is all happy about Dh and I getting married, he expressed his joy at one point saying how glad he was to be gaining a son... well MIL was in this conversation and she resonds to him.. dont you already have two!.. what is her problem! You'd think she'd be so glad to know her Son's inlaws show such exceptance of him.. my Dad loves DH... even if he didnt he'd treat him like he does his own son's! so all in all, i HATE how no one is allowed to show joy in DH but MIL!

I just feel that was such an insult to my Dad, because before DH and i were married she'd always talk about how her family expanded from 3 to now 5 kids, and soon to be 6 (me) but my Dad can not except DH into his family?!?!

She is so one sided all the time it blows my mind that she doesnt see it! even when it is pointed out to her! it is ever opportunity she gets, and it so frequent it turns my stomach...

She sounds like a real prize.
She actually sounds like my BIL's MIL. BIL spent Christmas in Florida last year with his in-laws and when my MIL spoke to them to wish them a merry Christmas, his MIL said to his mother 'I'm so glad to have all 5 of my children topgether.' My MIL was so insulted. She was like, 'I guess that leaves me with two instead of three.'
