MIL rant

So I didnt have issues with MIL until after the wedding, but now she is annoying me. she is messaging DH or I every day 'you know you need to get the thank you's out this week or people will start getting mad and I don't blame them'


Ok, we arent even 3 months out from the wedding, we are in the middle of moving, DH just started a new job, I am in the middle of exams, been super stressed and busy between work and school. Am I wrong in wanting to tell her to but out and mind her own business, they will get out when they get out, PLUS we havent even received them yet?


Argh

Its like everything has to be done when she wants it done, and yet, real life intervenes


am I wrong on this?

i sent mine out after the 6 month mark!
so tell your MIL it will get done when you guys can!! i dont blame you at all!

GREAT idea!! Ive never recieved a TY within the 3months after a wedding. Its taken between 6months to a year before I have recieved TY's. I wouldnt let her get to you.

No you are not wrong on it, you have up to a year to send them out. Sick her on whomever is making/printing them for you. I'm sure she means well...

You do not have a year. People have a year to get you a gift. If you look at all the etiquette sites say 3 months but do is as soon as you are finished with finals and you should still be good.
