MIL / TY vent

so I get in from work and i head dh on the phone...i hear him kinda like being defense and i deduce he's on the phone with his mom.

generally speaking, i'm never like 'what was that all about...' i try to respect his relationship with his mom. but this time i kind of put the pieces together that it was something wedding related about us...

so whats up?? MIL thinks we're being RUDE and classless that we haven't finished all of our TYs...

WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED 45 days and took a 2.5 week HM. AAAAAAAND, we have 75 of 105 TYs OUT IN THE MAIL.


SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME I'M NOT WRONG HERE....i can't even imagine the words she used on the phone based on my husband's tone....

Im so not done yet. worse is im apparently not keeping track very well. i swear i wrote to my MIL and SIL but i didnt check it off.

my moms friend called her to remind her they gave us a check (didnt mention that in my thank you bc theygave us another small gift but i swear my mother opened that card and placed the check in the pile and neglected to tell me so hopefully thats the only slip up... embarassing)

dont even know how many i havent done yet. skipped the ones on the list i couldnt remember the wife's name at the time. and ran out of thank you cards. yeah doenst look promising.

WHERES MY THANK YOU HEATHER DID YOU GET MINE LOL? I finally did yours bc I didnt want you to beat me.

Oh please we haven't sent out a single card yet. They came while we were in Thailand but I have hardly made a dent.

Your MIL is insane. But i understand the lose-lose relationship. I have the same thing.

w t f???!?!?! It took us 3 months or a little more to get most out.

Hubby still has 7 to do (his mom, 2 brothers, and 4 GM). So we're not even done and we got married before you.

That was very rude (and wrong) of her to say.

HAHA! I've been married for 101 days and I haven't even ordered my TY cards!!!! My mom's getting on my case about it but I just tell her 'you don't like it, then go order them and write them out yourself!' I'm tried of the 'you should be doing this' with the wedding! It's over, let me do what I need to do and worry about yourself!

Sorry mini vent on your vent! Tell your MIL to get over it and you'll get to it sometime within the next year! You're too busy having CRAZY s*x with her son! Maybe that will shut her up!
