most comfy boot ever???

So i recently bought Bearpaw boots (pretty much fake uggs) .... everyone says they're the most comfy things EVER but i dunno ... they hurt the backs of my ankles (to the point where i had soars there) ....

is it just me?

or maybe it's normal for this to happen in the beginning, and then the shoe stretches out a bit?

yeah - trying them out today with super-thick socks (last time i wore them, the socks were thin and low-cut so my ankles were exposed) ... wish me luck

Re: most comfy boot ever???

i have 2 pairs of bearpaws and 1 pair of uggs... i'm wearing my black bearpaws now.
i had the same problem. i actually wore mine for the first time when i went into the city to go to RK bridal... my heels were bleeding so bad by the time i got there. i also fell TWICE in them because i wasn't used to the shape.
and i had socks on to stop the rubbing... my socks were stained in the back from the blood. i know gross.
what i ended up doing was putting bandaids on the back of my heels, where they were rubbing.. they can't be the plastic bandaids. that helped. it was just a matter of breaking them in. now... they are super comfy... actually now that i've had them for like 1½ years they aren't as fluffy... but still, they're comfy.
the only reason i got the uggs was because i didn't wanna go through the whole 'breaking in' process.. and these are all ruined from the snow/rain.

my black ones are eva, my brown ones are dream
I rarely wear my brown ones... those are just too stiff... but the lining is super comfy. and they dont really match anything that i own. the brown is a weird shade. but when i bought them they were on sale for like $35.00.

which do you have?

Re: most comfy boot ever???

I have to be honest & prior to buying Uggs I tried all the fake ones out there & they all hurt my feet. I find only Uggs are really comfy & worth the price. I am currently on my second pair of Uggs. I wore my first pair for two seasons. The first season I was very careful, didn't get them wet or dirty. By time the second season rolled around I didn't care, I just wanted my feet to be warm & dry.

This season I purchased a new pair of Uggs that I wear on mostly dry days so not to destroy them already. For all this rain & snow I purchased, Khombu boots. They are awesome. They are rubber outside, so waterproof & fully lined inside, so toasty warm. They come up mid-calf so are not too tight & I have enough room to tuck my work pants inside & not feel like a sausage.

I totally understand about feeling like a sausage (great analogy, btw) .... i wear boot-cut jeans 99% of the time so i can't tuck them into my boots no matter how hard i try ... freakin' sucks!

sausage is the best way to explain it. I have large calves from taking years of pointe & ballet. It's such an issue for me to find boots that I can wear comfortably.

i'm going with the logic of 'they're f'uggs - they don't go with anything ... so i can just stop worrying and wear them with whatever'
