hmmmmm I didn't try to figure out what Caroline was trying to say, lol, but now I'm curious!

'sokay You weren't the only one and I would have felt like a complete a$$ being like 'hi I just met you, but excuse me please don't call me 'Y'esi even though it's spelled with a y' to everyone!

yea....i have to do that with my REAL first name~most of the time I let it go bc its just easier and I say yup thats right.....its not Margharita like the drink dammmit..........

And for Carolines comment.........C*** S****** B****
at least that is what I got outof it!

My friend Yesenia is from El Salvador and she says 'Y'esenia. Everyone calls her 'Yessie' - I think it depends where you're from, no?

Weiiiiiiird because my mom (who chose my name) is from El Salvador! The name came from a spanish soap opera in the 70's and most everyone I've ever heard says 'J'esenia - in fact a lot of parents did those alternate spelling things and name their daughters Jesenia, or Jessenia, spelling it with a J. I even saw one poor little girl on the subway years ago who's bookbag said 'LLESENIA' and I was like OH NOOOOO, that poor little girl is going to be called lesenia her whole life cuz most people don't know that the double L is a letter in spanish that is pronounced like a Y/J!!!! lol.

So yeah. For me, calling me Yesenia or Jesenia is totally fine. Just that for my nickname, no one growing up ever said 'Y'esi, it's always been 'J'esi, so that's what it is, lol.

Ohh Yesi......YESI!!!!!!! I am very upset I called you Yesenia at the pp and you told me I was saying it right . Be prepared at the gtg you will be giving 10 minute lessons on how to say your name you can thank me later.

Tonight I will chant the proper name .

cat, have you not read all 800 explanation posts above? 'y'esenia is still ok! just not 'y'esi. I wouldn't lie to ya, here let's hug it out - I think that covers all the huggy options.
