MY ALBUM IS READY!!! UPDATE..UPDATED AGAIN!!

I got home from work today and there was a postcard that all my albums and enlargements are all ready, ahead of schedule!! I am so excited. The only stinky part is I can't go pick them up til Saturday because they are only open til 6 tomorrow and I don't get home til 6. But I am so psyched and nervous to see them. I miss all my pictures!!

our photographer is coming by on sunday to show us the prints for our album...and give us our enlargements...i can't wait!!!

Can you believe I am nervous to go pick them up today? I feel like such a moron!! I don't know why. I don't know if I am nervous because I am affraid something will be screwed up or if I am affraid because this is it, the is the last wedding related thing that was left, its sorta like an end to all the wedding hoopla!! Oh Well, I'll update later and let ya know how everything turned out!!

Well, I got my albums. They are very nice, but there are a few things bugging me and I might take them back. Some of the pictures in my album look like they are sooo bright and they are not like that in the proof. All in all it is nice though, but I was a bit sad when I got my proofs back and actually saw how my ohotographer was not very creative with the shots!!

And here is the topper, this really made me so mad when I saw it, For some stupid reason on my part, I accidentally picked 17 pictures for FIL's album instead of 18. I don't know how I did it. I went over those darn things to no end. Anyway, I did it. So we were looking at his album when we got home and the last page of his album is empty, with a post it note, saying no picture was picked. Now I understand It was my fault, but would it have killed them to A) pick up a phone and say please stop by, you need to pick out one more picture. Or B) to just go ahead and pick out a nice picture of DH and I to fill the page. I just thought it was highly unprofessional to put a post in there and leave it for us to find when we got home.(Which is a whole other story, I purposely said to DH I wanted to sit there and look through everything before we left. No, we got there, bam, bam, ok we got everything, thank you. He is such and idiot, but I made him pay wen we got home and saw the mistakes) I Just thought the post it was unprofessional, and I felt jipped. I am calling them Monday, but I just want to scream. What am I supposed to do, hand my FIL his album and say, OH, Check out page 18, its a nice post-it?

Overall, my album is pretty, the pics are nice, but I feel could have been better, but they do capture our day, so I am happy. I have all my proofs and negatives back, so I am going to play around on my computer and see what I can do myself.

Oh yeah, that was another thing. On the pic we chose for our 16x20, we loved it but it needed some touch-up around DH's lip, because he had lipstick on. They didn't touch it up at all and he still has lipstick on there, now its just blown up nice and big in the 16x20, so its even more noticable.

OK, I am done complaining so early in the morning. I plan to have everything fixed that I am not happy with. So in the end it will all work out!!

OMG, OK, I just sat here going through every proof and every album and found out that I did not miscount on my FIL's album, they screwed up. I did pick out 18 friggin pictures. I was going crazy, I knew I would not mess something like this up, I went over my pics a thousand times before I dropped them off. They are really going to hear it for putting a POST-IT on my FIL's last page of his album!!!So now when I call them on Monday, and telll them I am coming back with an album, 2 8x10's, an 11x14 and my 16x20, they really better not piss me off. I am so mad right now, because I thought I really screwed up, but they were just extremely careless!!! Oh and the reason for the enlargements going back, they are all the same picture, When I dropped the proofs off, I said I really wanted that picture for everyones wall, but my husband has lipstick on his upper lip and I asked could it be fixed before being blown up. They assured me it could be blown up and fixed. Well, all those enlargements look like my husband is a clown. They did not do any touching up at all!!! I am ONE ANGRY OLD BRIDE/NEWLYWED HERE!!!

that stinks! be sure to enphasize how heartbroken you both were not be able to give the album to them this weekend b/c of it (make up a story of a birthday party, etc that was the perfect setting how upsetting it was, etc. too!) and maybe if you lay it on thick they will comp you a free reprint or something too! (hey you never know!)

ps - if it makes you feel any better, dh and i still haven't even looked at what we want for our albums!!!
